
Salma Hayek Pinault (born Salma Valgarma Hayek-Jimmyenez, 2 September 1966)[3][4][5[3][4][5), is an American and Mexican actress. In Mexico she started her career in the role of Teresa in the television series (1989-1991) as well as El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) which was the film in which she received an Ariel Award. She soon established herself in Hollywood with appearances in films such as Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), and Dogma (1999). Hayek's performance as Frida Kahlo as a painter, in Frida (2002) which was a biographical documentary she made which earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress nomination[6]. She also received her Golden Globe Award and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations.
